Mr. Sanjay Laxmanrao Gaikwad is working as Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Physics, Mahatma Phule A. S. C. College, Panvel Dist. Raigad Maharashtra. He is pursuing a Ph.D from SRTM University, Nanded. The area of this research is Solar cell, Gas sensor, and supercapacitor. Mr. Gaikwad has published more than 20 research papers in many International and National well reputed journals with high impact factors. Some of the journals in which his work is published are the Journal of Materials Chemistry A (IF – 12.73), Arabian Journal of Chemistry (IF – 5.16) and Dalton Transactions Journal (IF – 4.39), etc. He is appreciated by many awards, fellowships like the International IJMTST Excellence Award 2021 for Teaching and Research Excellence, Vidya Bhushan Puraskar by Indian NET-SET Association in 2010, Best Performer Award (Best Teacher Award), by M.P.A.S.C. College, Panvel (Home Institution) in 2011-12, 2012-13, 2014-15 and 2018-19, Best Achievements Award (Appreciation For Achievements) by M. P. A. S. C. College, Panvel (Home Institution) in 2012-13, 2014-15 and 2015-16, Summer Research Fellow (SRFP 2020) by Indian Academy of Science, Bengaluru, INSA, Delhi. The National Academy of Science, Prayagraj, India in 2020. He has completed minor research projects funded by UGC, Mumbai University and the college.

Research Description:

His research is focused on the synthesis of various nanostructures by using various techniques like Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD), Successive Ionic Layer Adsorption and Reaction (SILAR), Spray pyrolysis, spin coating, etc and employs these nanostructures for various applications such as solar cell, Supercapictor, gas sensor etc.
